The Normans Wedding Photography – Louise & Ray

What an incredible day Louise & Ray picked for their wedding at The Normans. It’s a beautiful spot surrounded by countryside just outside York. I knew from the moment I arrived with the girls it was going to be a great day. The sun was out and spirits were high.

The rustic barn feel is perfect at The Normans. The perfect mix of genuine rustic barn feel and modern comforts. I started with Louise and the girls in the accommodation they have onsite. Being able to see guests arrive as the girls got ready added to the atmosphere, and when the boys turned up I was able to walk them up the road for a sneaky photo and a “flyby” of the girls room. Superstition dictates that it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the big moment, but there is no bad luck in a bride seeing her groom. Louse resisted, and relied on a running commentary from her bridesmaids.

The day just got better and better as it went along. There was a fantastic relaxed atmosphere, and lots of space for people to explore and mingle.
