Newburgh Priory is a place to love! Why? Yes, the setting. Yes, the wonderful house and gardens. Yes, the feeling of owning the place! But mainly for me it’s the family owned nature of this great property that makes it so special.

Emma & James we so lucky to have booked Newburgh Priory for their wedding. With it still being family owned it has a real and genuine feel about it. Often with properties like this they have long been taken over by organisations like The Nation Trust or English Heritage. This comes along with a staff that are just there to look after the property against a set of rules and regulations, and to rake in as much money from the couple as possible. In my personal experience this can get in the way of using a property to it’s intended purpose, and even prevent me from getting the pictures I can see right in front of me. It’s always bugged me about these places. But no so here! A quick chat with the owners will soon put you as ease, they have a fantastic approach to this place and I love it even more for it…
